Romanian Deputy Energy Minister George Sergiu Niculescu, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity Catalin Boboc and Diplomatic Counselor of the Romanian Embassy in Azerbaijan Christian Dacica visited the Baku DOST Center No. 4. Chairman of the Board of DOST Agency Farid Mammadov acquainted the guests with the center and gave general information about the DOST project.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of DOST Agency Seymur Aliyev noted the working principle of the centers, innovations in the field of services.
Then Farid Mammadov made a presentation on the concept of DOST. It was noted that the centers provide citizens with "one-stop shop" for labor and employment, social security, disability, pensions, social insurance, etc. 154 types of services are provided. It was noted that by 2025, DOST services will cover the entire territory of Azerbaijan.
Romanian officials noted that the DOST Agency is a rather unique project and can serve as an example for many countries.
The sides discussed possible future cooperation between the parties.
The meeting took place during the visit of a delegation led by Romanian Energy Minister Virgil-Daniel Popescu to Azerbaijan. The delegation will be in Baku on June 21-24 to attend a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
