A meeting was held with family members of martyrs and war participants working in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population

A total of 334 family members of martyrs and war participants work in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

Minister Sahil Babayev held a meeting with those employees in connection with the Memorial Day. First, the memory of our heroes who died in the battles for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence. A video dedicated to the Memorial Day was shown.

The Minister said that today is the second anniversary of the start of the 44-day Patriotic War, which has a glorious heroic history of our nation, and which the Azerbaijan Armed Forces ended with a magnificent historic victory under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. In the Patriotic War, our soldiers demonstrated unparalleled fighting ability, which was engraved in the world military history, and liberated our native lands, which were under the occupation of Armenia for nearly 30 years.

Stating that the family members of 92 employees of the Ministry rose to the height of martyrdom, S. Babayev said that the memory of all our martyrs will live forever in the hearts of our people.

He noted that 170 employees working in various positions in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population participated in the Patriotic War and contributed to our Victory.

At the same time, 72 employees of the Ministry working in various positions are participants in the First Karabakh War.

S. Babayev drew attention to the fact that the vast majority of the employees of the Ministry who participated in the Patriotic War were awarded "For bravery", "For the release of Khojavend", "For the release of Fuzuli", "For the release of Gubadli", "For the release of Shusha" by the Orders of President Ilham Aliyev. "for the liberation of Jabrayil", "for the liberation of Kalbajar", "for the liberation of Lachin", "brave warrior" and other medals. Some of them were even awarded 2-3 medals, and some were awarded 5 or more medals. Ministry employees who participated in the Patriotic War were awarded a total of 418 medals.

Speaking at the meeting, the Hero of the Patriotic War, father of martyr Surkhay Nochuyev, employee of the State Social Protection Fund Abdul Nochuyev, wife of martyr Murad Mammadov, employee of DOST Agency Aysel Mammadova expressed their satisfaction with the care provided to them by the state, participant of the Patriotic War, employee of Social Services Agency Vusal Hatamov and others emphasized that they felt infinite pride in participating in the battles for the liberation of our native land from the enemy.

In connection with the Memorial Day, the employees of the Ministry also visited the II Alley of Martyrs and commemorated our martyrs with a minute of silence at 12 o'clock.
