On the occasion of the National Day of Hungary, an event was held by the embassy of that country in Azerbaijan.
At the event, Ambassador of Hungary Tamash Torma informed about the National Day of his country and its development path. Saying that this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Hungary and Azerbaijan, the ambassador said that relations between the two countries are constantly expanding.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary Sahil Babayev expressed congratulations on the National Day of Hungary.
He said that strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary are developing, and 50 cooperation documents were signed between the two countries in the past period. Our countries support each other bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations. Today, there are political, economic, energy, transport, agriculture, education, etc. between Azerbaijan and Hungary. there are active cooperative relations in the fields.
The minister noted that it is a source of satisfaction that Hungarian companies are determined to participate in construction works in our territories freed from the occupation of Armenia. Also, the 120 million USD credit line of the Hungarian "EximBank" for the Hungarian companies that will be involved in those works, the allocation of a 25,000 euro grant by the Hungarian side for the demining of the liberated areas is a manifestation of the friendly relations of the two countries.
Saying that the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission are aimed at expanding relations between our countries, S. Babayev pointed out that the trade turnover of Azerbaijan and Hungary has increased by 9.2 percent this year, and that the two countries have great potential in the field of business cooperation.
He expressed confidence that the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary will continue to develop on the rising line.
