The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population had a meeting with the delegation led by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Moldova Marchel Spatar, who was on a visit to our country.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev said that relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova are constantly developing, and 63 cooperation documents signed in various fields in the past period allow the expansion of relations.
Pointing out that the relations of the two countries also cover the social sphere, S. Babayev noted the active cooperation of the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the National Social Insurance Fund of Moldova.
In August of this year, S. Babayev, in a meeting with his Moldovan colleague M. Spatar, drew attention to the importance of the discussion on the development of relations between the two countries in the field of labor and social protection.
The successes of President Ilham Aliyev's socio-economic policy, the large-scale social reform program in our country, important progress achieved in the last 4 years, especially in the fields of labor, employment and social protection, and serious increases in social payments were reported.
The DOST concept, automation of services in the field of labor, employment, and social protection and the successes achieved in proactively presenting them to the population were brought to attention. It was emphasized that there is great potential for the expansion of relations and exchange of experience between the ministries.
M. Spatar said that Moldova is interested in constantly expanding relations with Azerbaijan, he is confident that the cooperation of the two countries in the social field will continue to expand, and his current visit is also aimed at this goal.
He said that he got acquainted with the DOST center during the visit, that they learned the DOST experience of Azerbaijan and that they intend to apply the DOST concept in Moldova. M.Spatar also drew attention to Azerbaijan's interest in the experience of applying electronic technologies and proactive appointment mechanisms in the social sphere.
At the end of the meeting, S. Babayev and M. Spatar signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova on cooperation in the field of labor, employment and social protection".
