Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, got acquainted with the activities of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, which was opened in October last year with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva, is part of the state policy in the field of providing social support and social integration of persons with disabilities and members of families of martyrs, and other vulnerable groups in our country.

The center, created on the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, is the largest inclusive creativity and development space in the South Caucasus for the first time, covering sufficiently diverse areas of activity. The center has an auditorium for 121 people, various professional-creative rooms and studios, library, administrative rooms, canteen, etc. consists of. Currently, 266 beneficiaries are receiving training at the center. Up to 60 percent of them are persons with disabilities. Trainings are organized in the center in 14 directions (music, capoeira, badminton, horse riding, dance, visual arts, pottery, floristry, gardening and landscape design, artistic carving, tailoring, fashion design, carpet weaving, stage, cooking, photography, etc.). In the past year, more than 20 events, forums, exhibition-sale fairs, concert programs, etc. were held in the center. was organized.

The Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, got acquainted with the work carried out in the center to develop the talents and abilities of the beneficiaries, the exhibition and training process of the beneficiaries' handiwork, and watched the performance "The Proposal" based on the play of the same name by A.P. Chekhov.

The play reflects the problems of society trying to appear arrogant. 5 out of 7 lead actors of the vaudeville (comedy) show, which consists of 23 creative staff, are people with different categories of disabilities.
