At the collegium meeting held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, it was brought to attention that the construction of 410 more private houses for the families of martyrs and people with war-related disabilities has been completed these days. It was reported that the construction of 54 individual houses is being completed.
The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev emphasized that, according to the order of President Ilham Aliyev, the care of families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities is one of the main directions of the Ministry's activities. The minister noted that the program of providing housing or private houses to citizens of this category has been expanded many times in recent years, and the plan for 2022 in this area is being successfully implemented.
Preparations for the opening of Baku DOST center No. 5 in the capital's Khatai district, as well as new social facilities in other regions, were discussed at the meeting. It was brought to attention that the DOST center and Vocational Training Center in Barda, the Children's Rehabilitation Center in Shamkir will be opened in the near future, and the overhaul and construction of the new building of the Psychoneurological social service institution in Shamakhi has already been completed.
It was reported that in the last year, in addition to 14 training directions, trainings were organized in 8 more activity directions in the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, which was established on the initiative of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva. Here, it is noted that out of 281 beneficiaries of the training courses, up to 200 are persons with disabilities and members of families of martyrs, others are persons deprived of parental care, members of low-income families.
It was emphasized that complex rehabilitation works were carried out for the beneficiaries, and positive results were achieved in the development of creative abilities and psycho-social conditions of the persons who participated in the trainings.
