5 members of the "DOST Volunteer" program were awarded

Members of the "DOST Volunteer" program of the DOST Agency participated in the "5th Solidarity Forum of Azerbaijan Volunteers". The forum was held within the framework of "Azerbaijan Volunteering Week 2022" with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Youth Fund, the organization of the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan and the partnership of ASAN Service.

Chairman of the Board of DOST Agency Farid Mammadov and Director of DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center Parvina Ismayilova also participated in the event.

The forum started with the exhibition of voluntary organizations. Information about the activities and achievements of volunteers in various fields was displayed at the exhibition.

Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov voiced President Ilham Aliyev's address to the participants of the Forum and wished the volunteers success in their activities.
Later, Chairman of the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan, Yusif Valiyev, gave detailed information about the activities of the organization he represents to the participants of the event. It was noted that, as always, in 2022, tens of thousands of young people participated in nearly 500 projects based on the relevant tasks of the head of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on the promotion of volunteering.

Within the framework of the event, young volunteers who distinguished themselves with their activity and initiative during the year were awarded with a prize. Among the winners were members of the "DOST Volunteer" program. 2 of our volunteers were selected as "Volunteer of the Year" and 3 were selected as "Active Volunteer of the Year".

At the end of the event, which continued with the speeches of the awarded volunteers, an appeal was addressed to Mr. President Ilham Aliyev on behalf of the volunteers of Azerbaijan.
