Information on the reforms carried out in the field of labor, employment, and social protection was given to the mission of the World Bank

A meeting with the World Bank mission was held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev noted the success of reforms carried out in the social field in our country in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev.

The steps taken to strengthen the social protection system, the electronicization program in the social field, the DOST concept, work on regulating labor relations, and active employment programs were reported.

Achievements in expanding the scope of the self-employment program and the importance of cooperation with the World Bank in this field were noted. A presentation was made on the implementation of the "Employment Support in Azerbaijan" project jointly implemented by the Ministry with the World Bank. During the past period, about 5,400 people were provided with assets to start their own businesses under the project.

At the meeting, the labor market programs, increasing the variety of employment services and expanding the network of Vocational Training Centers were brought to attention.

The representatives of the World Bank also made a presentation on the results of the study on the evaluation of the targeted state social assistance program.

The implementation and expansion of active employment measures, the introduction of professional and qualification standards, the importance of personnel training in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and education in the required professions were discussed.
