Awards were presented to social partners actively participating in corporate social responsibility events

An awarding ceremony was held for social partners who actively participated in corporate social responsibility measures aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and in the implementation of employment programs related to them.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Chairman of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Problems Bahar Muradova, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) Orkhan Mammadov, MPs, other government and non-governmental organizations, representatives from the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions (AHIK) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurial Organizations of Azerbaijan, employers participated.

At the event held at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the participants were introduced to this Center, which covers wide, multifaceted fields of activity, and the conditions created here for the development of the creative potential of vulnerable groups, including members of the families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities. , they got acquainted with the work being done.

Speaking at the event, S. Babayev emphasized that strengthening the social protection system and increasing care for vulnerable groups constitute the main line of President Ilham Aliyev's policy. He said that as a result of the social reforms carried out on the basis of the instructions of the head of state, serious progress has been made in this direction.

Stating that active employment programs are expanding year by year, S. Babayev noted that last year more than 40,000 people were employed as a result of joint work with social partners, public works program for which more than 7,000 people were paid, 2,000 people received joint financing and quota. Job security has been implemented for jobs.

Last year, more than 16,000 people started a small family business with the support of the self-employment program, 4,600 people were involved in vocational training, and up to 70,000 people were provided with vocational counseling services. More than 6,000 people who lost their jobs were given unemployment insurance payments.

S. Babayev noted the support provided by social partners in employment measures, ensuring the employment of vulnerable groups, joint work with private sector companies in the implementation of large-scale social projects.

KOBIA, AMCHAM, ATİB, TUSİAB, MUSIAD, Caspian Energy Club, France-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce, Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce, Azerbaijan Human Resources Association, AHIK and more than 1000 employers have been established and a register of social partners has been announced.

It was emphasized that active cooperation with social partners is implemented in the employment programs implemented to support socially vulnerable groups, as well as families of martyrs and war participants.

It was stated that one of the main goals is to expand and increase the range of corporate social responsibility programs.

Other speakers noted that the active participation of social partners in providing social support to vulnerable population groups is commendable as another example of solidarity, and highly valued the work done in this field.

It should be noted that for the first time last year, social partners who actively participated in corporate social responsibility events for 2021 were awarded.

This time, the most active private social partners who support the employment of martyr family members, war participants, persons with disabilities, women, and young people, as well as the private social partner who concluded the most employment contracts based on referrals through the "Labor and Employment" subsystem, and this subsystem the most awards were presented to the private social partner who placed the most vacancies.
