On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the 5th anniversary of the creation of the Agency for Sustainable and Operative Social Provision - DOST, for the first time in Azerbaijan in the social sphere, the international conference “DOST 2023: A Single Platform for Providing Flexible, Innovative and Sustainable Services” was held.
The two-day conference, held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, is attended by 50 foreign and 110 local guests, as well as representatives of 40 international organizations.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev started the event with an opening speech and said that the successful strategy for social development of our country was created by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, who founded the independent Azerbaijani state in the 90s of the last century and mobilized it on the path of long-term development. This strategy is continued and developed by President Ilham Aliyev, having implemented successful reforms.
It was emphasized that the DOST concept, which was an initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, is one of the important achievements of social reforms carried out in recent years. It was reported that 159 services are provided in DOST centers from a “single window”, using innovative technologies, through modern and flexible, fully transparent mechanisms, and DOST has formed a new brand for our country in this area.
It was noted that the uniqueness of the DOST model, one of the goals of this conference, which provides opportunities for the exchange of useful experience based on achievements, is to unite local and international experts and identify development prospects and future development paths based on the widespread use of modern technologies and innovative solutions in the sphere of state social services.
Chairman of the European Social Network Christian Fillet, Chairman of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovation under the President of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, UN Coordinator in our country Vladanka Andreeva, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mamedov were the guests of honor.
Consolidating existing practices on a single platform, identifying trends, further increasing the level of acceptance of the DOST concept, providing greater information to the international community about DOST services, etc. are the main objectives of the event.
The conference, consisting of two plenary and three parallel sessions, continues with presentations, panel discussions and speeches from local and international experts on various topics.
