Creative people with disabilities are back on stage

DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity hosted an event dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day and the 2nd anniversary of the Center's establishment.

The event was attended by government officials, members of parliament, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and artists.

Participants got acquainted with an exhibition of handicrafts prepared by the beneficiaries and trainers of the center. The exhibition presented examples of fine art, pottery, carpet weaving, beading, artistic carving, floristry and other creative works.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev said that equal opportunities for vulnerable segments of society and the creation of inclusive opportunities for them is one of the priorities of the social policy pursued in our country.

The event continued with a concert program prepared by participants and trainers of beneficiaries of the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity.

At the concert, artists of the center, accompanied by inclusive chamber orchestra and ensemble of the center, performed works by Azerbaijani composers and patriotic songs.

The orchestra was led by the center's teacher, conductor of the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli Mustafa Mehmandarov.
