General Information

"DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity" Limited Liability Company (hereinafter - the Center) was established by Decision No. 3 of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Provision dated October 5, 2021. The purpose of the center is to Development of skills and creative potential of the martyrs' familiy members, persons with war related disabilities and their children, orphans and children deprived of parental care, low-income families and talented people with disabilities (hereinafter - the persons) in the Center. and is based on the principles of respect for dignity, equality, humanism and confidentiality.

The opening of the center took place on October 22, 2021 with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva.

The state policy pursued in our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev always pays special attention to the development of the social sphere and the solution of social issues of the vulnerable groups. Along with the projects implemented at the state level in this direction, the initiatives of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva are also of special importance. In this regard, the establishment of the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity can be noted. The main purpose of the Center, established on the initiative of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, is to help identify and develop the creative potential, talents and other abilities of people with disabilities, including war invalids, martyrs' families, as well as socially vulnerable groups. The construction of the center was financed by PASHA Holding, and the architectural, design and organizational support was provided by Cobalt Architecture and Design. The center is subordinated to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in accordance with the principle of social partnership.

Population groups served in the center

The center will provide services to the following categories of people:

• martyr's family members
• persons with war-related disabilities
• children of people with war-related disabilities
• children who have lost their parents and are deprived of parental care
• low-income families
• persons with disabilities

 

Service directions provided in the center


The center implements measures to increase teaching and creative potential in the following areas:

• audio-recording and media direction
• direction of floristics, gardening and landscape design
• direction of artistic carving
• carpet weaving, weaving and embroidery
• tailoring direction
• direction of photography
• music direction
• direction of pottery
• fine arts direction
• dance direction
• culinary direction
• direction of stage performance

The center's audio-recording studio provides for the development of vocal skills, recording audio discs and solo albums, dubbing videos, documentaries and feature films, TV shows, and there is no age limit in the studio.

The floristics and landscape design studio provides training in floristics and landscape design as a decorative-applied art and design type, preparation of still lifes with artificial, dried and live flowers, collection of flower arrangements, design and installation of terrariums and plant reservoirs. The studio can train 8 people at the same time, 2 groups a day. The trainings are open to people over the age of 10-15.

The metal and wood carving studio will teach the art of carving on wood, metal and stone, which is a type of decorative and applied art. The studio already presents musical instruments, national cultural monuments, sculptures and figured compositions made of wood. In this studio it is possible to hold trainings for 6 people over 8-10 years old at the same time, for 2 groups a day.

The carpet weaving, sewing, weaving and embroidery studio will teach the art of Azerbaijani carpet weaving, which is the main type of decorative and applied art, and the basics of its 7 important carpet-weaving schools. Here you will learn knitting techniques, choosing color combinations, dyeing woolen threads, the most ancient and widespread form of embroidery, the development and design of national and modern clothing with gold threads and beads. The studio can train 7 people over the age of 6-8 at the same time. During the day, a group in each field will participate in the learning process.

The music studio will teach Azerbaijani national music, music and vocal lessons. 20-25 people over the age of 4 with musical, vocal and musical knowledge will participate in the trainings at the same time in the studio. In the future, it is planned to create an instrumental and vocal ensemble of musicians with disabilities.

The center's ceramic studio will teach skills in the art of pottery, including the production and painting of ceramics, decorative products, porcelain dishes and decorative products with national patterns, decorative sculpture. The studio can train 9 people over the age of 8 at the same time.
In the fine arts studio, it is planned to teach the art of painting on canvas with oil paint, watercolor, graphite and ink on paper, stained glass on glass, watercolor and silk. The studio will train 10 people over the age of 5 at the same time, 2 groups a day.

It is planned to hold joint dance trainings for people with disabilities and professionals in the dance hall and to create a professional inclusive dance group in the future. Trainings and master classes with local and foreign choreographers are also planned here. Dance lessons for 30 people can be held in the hall at the same time. People with disabilities participating in professional dance training will be between the ages of 10-34, and developmental dancers will be between the ages of 15-34. Other physiological rehabilitation training is open to persons over 5 years of age.
There are trainings for people with disabilities on national and European cuisine for groups of 5 people over the age of 15, as well as culinary fairs and culinary programs.

The center also has a large yard for various outdoor events. There are conditions for meditation, yoga and other physical exercises for rehabilitation purposes, organization of various exhibitions, trade fairs, trainings on floristics and landscape design, as well as inclusive television programs using as a pavilion.

Cinema and TV shows can be presented in the 121-seat auditorium of the center. Conditions have been created on the stage for modern plastic, musical genre-style and emotional theatrical constructions, various musical concert programs, events of state importance. Free film screenings are planned for the residents of the social enterprise. It is possible to hold theatrical performances and concerts on the stage with 25-30 people at the same time.

President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughters Leyla Aliyeva were informed about the "Equality" television project implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and inclusive theaters.

The center also has a library. There are books on Azerbaijani national literature, as well as various vocational and art education in foreign languages. In order to develop the artistic creativity of visually impaired people, the library will create corners with books in Braille, present books of people with disabilities, reading days with the participation of famous writers, signing days of local and foreign authors.

   

    

Applying for a service


The relevant category of people with creative potential and talent, or their parents, representatives, adoptive parents, guardians or trustees, can apply to the "DOST" centers or local agencies of the Agency for Social Services.

 

Documents required for the application

• a copy of the identity document of the person to be involved in the service (including a copy of the identity document of the applicant or authorized person)
• a copy of the document confirming the relevant authority of the person to be involved in the service (birth certificate, power of attorney, etc.) when applied by parents, representatives, adoptive parents, guardians or trustees
• medical certificate of the person's health with information about the absence of infectious diseases and mental health status
• a document confirming that the person belongs to the relevant category
• certificate of the educational institution in relation to the persons studying in the general education institution (indicating the hours of study)
• 2 photos of 3x4 cm size
• photo or video materials confirming talent and ability in the relevant field.



The result of the service provided at the center

Persons who have completed training in relevant areas of service, as well as measures to increase creative capacity (with the involvement of specialists of the State Employment Agency in the certification process) are issued a certificate signed by the chairman of the commission established at the Center.
