A job fair is an active employment event organized by the local offices of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, or by “DOST” Centers. Its purpose is to help unemployed and job-seeking individuals directly connect with employers and facilitate their employment.

To organize job fairs, the local offices of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, or “DOST” Centers, first assess the real demand for workforce from employers based on the available vacancies.
Based on demand, the schedule for organizing job fairs in each administrative region is prepared and managed by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Job fairs are held according to the approved schedule, but they are organized at least once every three months.
The activity plan is prepared and approved by the Agency no later than the 20th of the month preceding the month in which the job fair is held.

Information about job fairs is published on the Ministry’s official website and in the “Labour and Employment” subsystem within the electronic accounts of registered job seekers and unemployed individuals.

At job fairs, unemployed and job-seeking individuals are offered the following services through direct contact with employers: · Information on career opportunities, the labor market, and professions; · Guidance on career and profession selection; · Enrollment in vocational training programs; · Participation in paid public work programs; · Referral to available job positions. |
