Yoga classes were held for the elderly people

Meditation-yoga trainings were held for the elderly people. The training was held as part of the "Young at heart" training and creative camp for the effective organization of leisure time and socialization of people over 65 years of age. 90 participants took part in the camp organized in Zira Ecopark. The participants of the open-air training were taught to listen to their body with the right breathing technique. Simple steps to a healthy lifestyle were discussed.

The training camp "Young at heart" is held within the project "Building a society for all ages: promoting the welfare of the elderly in Azerbaijan through active aging." The 4-day program includes various competitions, museum tours, weaving, sewing and painting classes.

It should be noted that the project "Building a society for all ages: promoting the welfare of the elderly in Azerbaijan through active aging" is implemented on the initiative of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, with the financial support of the MLSPP and UNFPA. An agreement on the third component of the project was signed between the United Nations Population Fund and the DOST Agency. The aim of the project is to increase the knowledge and skills of people over the age of 65 to adapt to the modern environment, to pass on their experience to the younger generation and to promote "peer community" through the organization of quality leisure time.
