With the new law, the minimum monthly pension was increased to 280 manats

As part of the new social reform package implemented since the beginning of this year, with the new law approved by President Ilham Aliyev, the amount of the minimum monthly labor pension has been increased to 280 manats from February 1, 2023.

Thus, the amounts of pensions whose amount is less than 280 manats as of February 1 will be brought up to that amount.

At the same time, the minimum amount of pension for those who will retire after that date will be 280 manat instead of 240.

As a result of the social reforms carried out in the last 5 years, serious increases in social payments have been achieved in our country, including the increase of the minimum pension by 2.5 times from 110 manats to 280 manats.

At present, the minimum pension amount exceeds the subsistence minimum (199 manats) established for pensioners in 2023 by 81 manats or 40.7 percent.

It should be noted that within the framework of the new social reform package implemented from the beginning of 2023, in addition to pensions, wages, allowances and scholarships have been increased once again.
