The work done in the field of population forecasting and the steps to be taken were discussed

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population had a working meeting with Farid Babayev, the head of the UN Population Fund's representation in Azerbaijan and Tomas Kucera, a professor at Karlov University in the Czech Republic, on the preparation of population forecasts in our country.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev spoke about the socio-economic importance of preparing population forecasts at the level of the country, economic districts and districts. It was emphasized that in recent years, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, "BP Exploration (Caspian Si) Limited" and the UN Population Fund, and in cooperation with Karlov University, work in this field has been carried out and is still ongoing.

At the meeting, it was noted that there is a positive demographic situation in our republic under conditions of stable development, including a stable growth rate of the population. The main demographic trends and perspectives in our country were exchanged. The work done in the field of population forecasting and the steps to be taken were discussed.
