Meeting held at the ministry with Indonesia’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population with Berlian Helmi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Azerbaijan.

Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia are developing on the basis of friendship and mutual respect, and emphasized that there are strong opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection.

It was highlighted that the activities carried out in accordance with the cooperation document signed in December 2022 between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower have made a significant contribution to strengthening relations between the two ministries.

The important role of the Labour Center of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, headquartered in Baku, in promoting cooperation among member states in the field of labour and social protection was also emphasized. The Ambassador was informed about the social reforms implemented in Azerbaijan in recent years, the DOST concept, and the country’s digital achievements in the social sector.

Berlian Helmi stated that the embassy would make efforts to further develop bilateral cooperation in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection, as in other areas. Future cooperation opportunities in the mentioned fields were discussed during the meeting.
