DOST Volunteers were awarded with the letters of appreciation

DOST Volunteers were awarded with the letters of appreciation. They were awarded for their active participation in "Let's protect our elders!" project. Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Provision (DOST) under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, presented the letters of appreciation to the volunteers. Farid Mammadov noted that during the special quarantine regime in the country, the support provided by DOST Volunteers in the provision of social services to the elderly was of great importance. Reminding that 2020 was declared the "Year of Volunteers" by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Mammadov stressed that DOST Volunteers Friends were also active during the year. Farid Mammadov also gave advice to young volunteers on their profession and career.

Elshan Ahmadov and Narmin Nadirli, who participated in the project, shared their impressions about the project and provided information about their services. After showing a video about the project, the letters of appreciation were presented to the project participants. It should be noted that the "Let's Protect Our Elders" project was implemented during the tightened special quarantine regime announced in our country, during which citizens over the age of 65 were banned from leaving their homes for 3 months. During the project, DOST Volunteers Friends helped more than a hundred elderly people living in Yasamal and Sabail districts of Baku.

It should be noted that 9 volunteers who are actively involved in the project are currently working in the relevant structures of the DOST Agency.
