Employees of DOST Agency visited elderly people living alone who are provided with social services at home (mobile). At the event organized on the occasion with the October 1st International Day of Older People, the employees congratulated the lonely elderly on the occasion of the significant day and conveyed their best wishes.
Later, an exhibition was organized in Baku DOST Center No. 4 on the occasion of the International Elderly Day. Handicrafts of elderly people provided with mobile social services were displayed at the exhibition. At the same time, master classes in various directions were organized for the participants of the "DOST Volunteer" program by senior citizens.
Elderly people thanked the management and all employees of DOST Agency for the value and attention they gave to them.
It should be noted that according to the Resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1992, October 1 is celebrated as the International Day of Older People. According to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Social Services", people who have reached the age of 70 are considered elderly.
