Bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaiajn and the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey will continue to expand. An action plan will also be prepared to implement the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation signed between the two ministries in July last year.
This was announced at a meeting with a delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services of Turkey Ridvan Duran in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are based on the factor of friendship, brotherhood and unity of peoples and are the result of joint efforts of the heads of state of the two countries. This relationship is at the level of a strategic alliance.
It was noted that relations with brotherly Turkey in other areas are constantly expanding, 6 documents were signed in the field of labor, employment and social protection. Information was presented on social reforms and achievements in Azerbaijan over the past 5 years. It was brought to your attention that in the process of social reforms, active cooperation is being carried out with relevant organizations in Turkey.
It was stated that special importance is attached to studying Turkey’s experience in introducing the institution of foster family in our country, and a useful exchange of experience is being carried out in this direction. The importance of the training organized by the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Turkey for employees of the ministry on the topic “Foster Family Service” was noted.
R. Duran expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan, the fact that relations between the two fraternal countries include the sphere of family and social services, as well as the successful experience of cooperation in this area.
The meeting focused on increasing the capacity of employees working in the field of foster families, protecting children deprived of parental care, implementing social support measures for families from vulnerable groups, etc. Further areas of cooperation were discussed.
