The event “Heydar Aliyev in Memories” was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The purpose of the event, organized by the DOST agency, is to study the unprecedented merits, life and work of the Great Leader in the history of Azerbaijan, as well as the legacy of statehood, as well as instill in young people his ideas and patriotism.
First, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev was honored with a minute of silence and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
Welcoming the participants of the event, Chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency Farid Mammadov said that the event entitled “Heydar Aliyev in Memories” is being held within the framework of the “DOSTTALKS” project. So far, within the framework of the project, the events “DOSTTALKS - Everyone Became a Hero” and “DOSTTALKS - Patriotic War” have been held, which received great interest among the public.
It was brought to the attention that the DOST Agency implemented many activities and projects in accordance with the action plan provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population within the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”.
Farid Mammadov spoke about the merits of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the formation of a new Azerbaijan, strengthening its independence, economic and political foundations, and the history of statehood. He said that today's development of our country and its voice in the world is the glorification of the ideas of Heydar Aliyev and the result of the policy of President Ilham Aliyev.
Further at the event, speeches were made by the director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS Misir Mardanov, the general director of the “Khazar Media” Center Murad Dadashov, a member of the executive committee of the National Olympic Committee Namig Abdullayev, reserve colonel of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces Shair Ramaldanov, they also shared memories of the historical figure, outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev, noted his unparalleled services to the fate of the Azerbaijani people.
